Orla is built around a simple promise: your health data is yours, and it stays on your device. We do not run servers that collect it, we do not have analytics, and we cannot see what you log.
Orla only holds the information you choose to enter into the app. This may include:
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, or any account credentials. We don't ask you to register, because there is no account to register for.
All of the data you enter is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults (the standard on-device storage iOS provides to apps). It lives on your iPhone and nowhere else by default.
If you enable iCloud backup, a copy of your Orla data may be included in your device's backup to your own private iCloud account. That backup is encrypted and managed entirely by Apple under your Apple ID. The developer of Orla has no access to your iCloud, no keys to it, and no ability to view, download, or restore your data from it.
Orla is a period and cycle tracker, so the information you log is health-related and sensitive — it includes your menstrual cycle, symptoms, and moods. We treat it accordingly.
This health data never leaves your device except through the optional iCloud backup described above, which is controlled by you and protected by Apple's encryption. We do not transmit your health data to us or to any third party, and we do not process it on any server.
Orla is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app has no account system and stores data only on the device, we do not receive any user data, including from minors.
You are always in control of your data:
Orla offers an optional premium subscription for $4.99/month. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card details or billing information — Apple handles that entirely. Purchasing premium does not change how your health data is stored; it still stays on your device.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note the change in the app. Continued use of Orla after an update means you accept the revised policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at connor@ridgemontenergycapital.com.
